One HTML block in the header include gives vBulletin 4 a remembered dark mode.

A single HTML block that adds a light/dark toggle to a vBulletin 4 board and remembers the member's choice.

• Paste into the header include — no product XML, no database changes.
• Remembers the choice locally, so the page does not flash the wrong theme.
• Revert is deleting the block and clearing the cache.

Packaged as a snippet by design: vBulletin 4 has no extension system, so this is the honest way to ship it.

Install it

1. AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> your style -> Edit Templates -> HEADINCLUDE (or HEADER).
2. Paste the contents of darkmode-1.0.0.html before </head> and save.
3. Clear the board cache and reload.
4. To remove: delete the pasted block and clear the cache again.

Questions people ask

Does it create database tables?

No. It reads what the platform already stores, so there is nothing to migrate or clean up.

Do I need to import a product XML?

No. It is one HTML include pasted into the header template — no product, no database change.

How do I check the file I downloaded?
