Anonymous Posting Plugin for MyBB

Let members post as "Anonymous" in the forums you choose — with staff still able to see who spoke.
Some of the most honest posts on a support board are the ones nobody will make under their own name. Anonymous opens that door in exactly the forums you nominate, and keeps moderation unblinded.
What it gives you:
• A "Post anonymously" checkbox on the new-thread and new-reply editors, and only in the forums you enabled.
• Anonymous posts mask everything to other members and guests: no author name, no profile link, no avatar, no post count, no join date, no reputation, no stars, no online dot. The post reads simply as Anonymous.
• The author still recognises their own posts through a small chip, with edit buttons intact, and staff always see who really wrote it.
• Thread-list last-poster columns are anonymised too, so the mask does not leak through the index.
• One small identity table maps masked posts to real authors, and the flag is enforced server-side, so a forged checkbox outside the enabled forums is ignored.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source; the original 1.x archive was not recoverable.

Questions people ask
Can members see who wrote an anonymous post?
No — not through the post, and not through the thread list. Staff can always see the author.
Does it scrub quotes of an anonymous post made later?
No. The mask applies from the postbit outward, so a quote someone makes afterwards keeps whatever text they quoted.
What happens to old anonymous posts if I uninstall?
They stay anonymous. Uninstalling deliberately does not relink them to their authors, and once the identity table is dropped there is no way back.
