Real meta descriptions, Open Graph and Twitter cards on every thread and forum — generated from your own content.
Shared links are how most new members first meet a board, and a bare link with no title and no description is the weakest possible first impression. Meta Boost writes those tags from content that already exists.
What it gives you:
• Thread pages get a meta description from the first post, with BBCode stripped and the length capped to what social networks actually show, plus og:type article, og:title, og:description, og:url, og:site_name and a Twitter summary card.
• Forum pages get og:title from the forum name and a description from the forum's own text.
• Everything is generated at render time from real content — no cache files, no cron job, no admin overhead.
• Pages that are neither a thread nor a forum are left completely untouched.
• Zero config, zero tables, zero writes: activate it and share previews improve immediately.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source; the original 1.x archive was not recoverable.

Requirements
- MyBB 1.8.40 is the tested target.
- PHP 8.1 or newer (runtime tested on 8.4.27).
- Nothing else — it reads the content your board already serves.
- Important: run only one plugin that emits Open Graph tags.

1. Back up your files and database first.
2. Upload the inc/ folder from the archive into your MyBB root, keeping the paths.
3. Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins → Install & Activate.

Questions people ask
Should I run this together with another Open Graph plugin?
No. Boards that already emit og: tags from another plugin should keep only one, otherwise the tags are duplicated and networks choose unpredictably.
Does it cache anything?
Nothing. Tags are built from live content on every render, so there is no stale cache to clear.
Why does a share preview still look old?
Social networks cache previews on their own side after the first fetch. Re-scraping in their debugger is the only way to force a refresh.
