Five live checks with a progress bar — it turns a lurker into someone who has posted.
Most new members never make their first post, not because they are uninterested but because nobody told them what to do next. This turns the first week into five visible steps.
What it gives you:
• A getting-started page with five live checks: avatar uploaded, first post, first thread, ten posts, and following a thread.
• Each unfinished step carries a one-tap link to the exact place it gets done — avatar settings, the forum, the thread.
• An animated progress bar with the exact fraction, computed live on every view.
• A slim index strip for incomplete members ("You're 60% set up — finish your checklist") that they can dismiss, and which disappears for good at 100%.
• Guests never see it, and there are no tables or writes — every check reads data MyBB already has.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source; the original 1.x/1.1 archive was not recoverable.

Requirements
- MyBB 1.8.40 is the tested target.
- PHP 8.1 or newer (runtime tested on 8.4.27).
- Native thread subscriptions, since "following a thread" means a real subscription.

1. Back up your files and database first.
2. Upload the inc/ folder from the archive into your MyBB root, keeping the paths.
3. Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins → Install & Activate.

Questions people ask
Does it store any progress?
No. Every item is computed live from existing board data, so nothing can drift or need cleaning up.
Why is the "following" step showing as incomplete?
Following means a native thread subscription. Until the member subscribes to a thread, the step honestly stays open.
Will it interfere with a custom theme?
The index strip anchors to the standard content container. Heavily customised themes may need one manual anchor.
