Daily streaks, six community quests and a progress hub — the reason a lurker comes back tomorrow.

A light achievements layer that gives members a reason to return: a visit streak that builds a habit, six quests that pull them through the board's features, and a hub page that shows progress instead of just telling them to post more.

What it gives you:

• Two tables tracking daily streaks, completed quests and reward counters.
• Six built-in quests — First Words, Finding Your Voice, On Fire, Scholar, Collector and Ambassador — each with a progress bar at the quests hub.
• A 🔥 streak badge on postbits for members holding a three-day run or better.
• Safe table and column checks for the optional DF Credits, Academy and Cards tables, so it runs standalone without fatal errors.
• Nothing to configure: quests evaluate on activity and when the hub is opened.

This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source rather than the missing original archive.

Requirements

MyBB 1.8.40 is the tested target.
PHP 8.1 or newer (runtime tested on 8.4.27).
No mandatory dependencies. DF Credits adds the credit-related rewards.

Install it

1. Back up your files and database first.
2. Upload the archive's contents (inc/, jscripts/, images/ where included) into your MyBB root, keeping the paths.
3. Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins → Install & Activate.
4. Nothing to configure — members reach the hub at misc.php?action=df_quests.

Questions people ask

Do I have to set any thresholds?

No, there are no settings. The six quests and their goals are built in.

Why do Scholar and Collector sit at zero?

Those two read the optional Academy and Cards tables. Without those plugins installed they honestly stay at 0 of their goal instead of pretending progress.

Does it need DF Credits?

No. It runs standalone and simply skips the credit-linked rewards.
