Thirty-day ?ref=UID invite links that credit the referrer, with automatic +50 credit bounties and same-IP anti-alt protection so a member cannot refer themselves.
• Monthly Invite Race leaderboard (misc.php?action=df_invite) keeps the competition visible.
• Bounties need Credits installed; the tracking itself works standalone.

Requirements

- PHP 8.1 or newer intended (runtime tested on PHP 8.4.27).
- MySQL or MariaDB, and a modern browser.
- Not activated on a production board for this release — the archive is staging-checked.

1. Upload inc/plugins/df_referrals.php to inc/plugins/.
2. Admin CP -> Configuration -> Plugins -> Install & Activate.

Questions people ask
Does it create database tables?
Yes — df_referrals. Uninstalling drops them, so nothing is left behind.
Does it edit templates or core files?
No. It runs from hooks, so no core file is modified.
How do I check the file I downloaded?
Every release page prints a SHA-256 checksum. Hash the archive locally and compare — if the two differ, the download is damaged, not the release.
How are updates delivered?
Each version is its own release on this page with a changelog, and the older archive stays available. Install the new one over the old one; your settings and data stay where they are.

The standings query is now wrapped, so one bad row can no longer take the whole page down - the board simply stays empty. The page now picks a wrapper template that really contains the content placeholder and falls back to an inline one, so it cannot render blank on a board whose template is missing or empty. Found by running 2.0.0 on a live MyBB 1.8.40 / PHP 8 / MySQL 8 board - invite links, the 30-day cookie and the bounties are unchanged. |
