Put credits on a question and pay the person who actually solved it — one click, fully logged.
Questions on a forum die of silence, not of difficulty. A bounty gives the thread a price tag: the poster or staff put credits on the line, and whoever answers best gets paid in one click.
What it gives you:
• A gold bounty bar across the top of the thread, with an "Award it" action for the thread starter and staff.
• One bounty per thread — a UNIQUE key on the thread id makes a duplicate bounty impossible, even on a double submit.
• When DF Credits is installed the credit balance moves automatically: deducted when the bounty is set, paid when it is awarded.
• Without DF Credits it keeps its own points ledger, so the feature still works on a board that does not run the economy suite.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source rather than the missing original archive.

Requirements
- MyBB 1.8.40 is the tested target.
- PHP 8.1 or newer (runtime tested on 8.4.27).
- DF Credits is optional — install it to move real credits, skip it to use the built-in points ledger.

1. Back up your files and database first.
2. Upload the archive's contents (inc/, jscripts/, images/ where included) into your MyBB root, keeping the paths.
3. Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins → Install & Activate.

Questions people ask
Can a thread have two bounties?
No. A unique key on the thread id means one bounty per thread, and a second attempt is refused rather than stacked.
Who can award the bounty?
The thread starter and staff. The award link appears on the bounty bar for those members only.
Do I need DF Credits?
No. With DF Credits the balances move automatically; without it the plugin keeps its own points ledger.
