Up to five tags per thread, clickable chips on the thread, and public tag pages for discovery.
Tags are the cheapest discovery feature a forum can have: they turn a one-way argument about which forum a thread belongs in into a set of doors other members can walk through.
What it gives you:
• A topic tags box on the new-thread form, taking up to five comma-separated tags, normalised to lowercase-dash form and deduplicated automatically.
• Tag chips above the posts on the thread view — visible to members and guests alike.
• Every chip leads to a public discovery page listing the fifty newest visible threads wearing that tag, with author, reply counts and relative times.
• The bare tag page renders a cloud of the top thirty tags with live usage counts.
• One small table with a composite primary key and a tag index; the CSS loads only on pages that need it.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source; the original 1.x archive was not recoverable.

Requirements
- MyBB 1.8.40 is the tested target.
- PHP 8.1 or newer (runtime tested on 8.4.27).
- Stock newthread and showthread templates, or the two template markers moved by hand.
- No settings to fill in.

1. Back up your files and database first.
2. Upload the archive's contents (inc/, jscripts/, images/ where included) into your MyBB root, keeping the paths.
3. Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins → Install & Activate — this creates the table.
4. No settings. Members add tags on the new-thread form.

Questions people ask
Do I have to set up a tag list first?
No. Tags are created simply by typing them on the new-thread form, and they normalise themselves.
Will tag pages show private content?
No. Tag pages list public, visible threads only.
What if my theme has a custom new-thread template?
The plugin anchors to the stock template markers. Heavily customised templates may need those markers moved by hand.
