Greets members who have been away a week or more, and shows them exactly what they missed.
Returning members are the easiest people on your board to keep — they already care. This meets them the moment they come back, by name, with a count of what has happened since.
What it gives you:
• A warm banner for anyone whose last visit is seven days old or more: their name, how many days they were away, and how many new threads and replies appeared since.
• A one-tap "Catch me up" link straight to the board's new-posts search.
• Rides only that returning session — MyBB keeps the previous visit time for the whole session, so the banner appears once and then gets out of the way.
• Members dismiss it with a ×, which hides it for a week.
• Pure read-and-render: zero tables, zero settings, and the counts are honest live numbers.
This is the 2.0 line, rebuilt as a versioned release from the deployed source; the original 1.x archive was not recoverable.

Questions people ask
How does it know how long someone was away?
It uses MyBB's own last-visit value, the same number members see in their welcome block.
Will it follow the member around the whole visit?
No. It rides the returning session only, then disappears until the next long absence.
Why did a member see the banner twice?
Dismissal is stored in a browser cookie, so switching devices shows it once more on the new device.
