A quiet piece of social proof in the footer: how many people are here, and who joined most recently.
What it gives you:
• A rounded chip showing the member total and the newest member's name, placed in the footer copyright area.
• Both values come from phpBB's own configuration — the same numbers the board already tracks, so they are always current and never cached stale.
• No queries of its own and no database changes.
Verified before publishing: structure matches phpBB's extension format, all PHP passes a PHP 8.3 syntax check, and the template hook (overall_footer_copyright_prepend) exists in stock phpBB 3.3.15.
