One-Click Post Thanks Add-on for phpBB

PHPBB ADDON free
Not rated yet Be the first

A thanks button on every post, as a proper phpBB 3.2/3.3 extension.

A real phpBB extension: a thanks button on every post, wired in through the extension system rather than a template hack.

• Installs into ext/dataforums/postthanks and is enabled from the ACP.
• Adds a template event listener, so a style update will not break it.
• Disable it from the ACP and the board is exactly as it was.

Requires phpBB 3.2 or 3.3.

What's included

  • A one-click thank-you button on every post, sitting with the existing post buttons.
  • A proper phpBB 3.2/3.3 extension under dataforums/postthanks, enabled from ACP → Customise.
  • Adds its button through a template event — no core phpBB file is edited.
  • Steps back cleanly: disable the extension and purge the cache.

Questions people ask

Does it create database tables?

No. It reads what the platform already stores, so there is nothing to migrate or clean up.

Does it edit core phpBB files?

No. It is a proper extension that adds its markup through a template event — disable it and the board is exactly as it was.

How do I check the file I downloaded?

Every release page prints a SHA-256 checksum. Hash the archive locally and compare — if the two differ, the download is damaged, not the release.

How are updates delivered?

Each version is its own release on this page with a changelog, and the older archive stays available. Install the new one over the old one; your settings and data stay where they are.
