Home, What's New and Members in a thin bar above the page body - for guests too.

The three destinations a visitor reaches for most, in a slim strip above the page body, so nobody has to open a menu to find "what is new".

What it gives you:

- A thin bar with Home, What's New and Members.
- The links are built with XenForo's own link function, so they follow your board URL and your route settings instead of being hard-coded paths.
- Visible to guests and members alike - every destination is a public page.

Adding a fourth link is one line in the template modification.

Requirements

  • XenForo 2.2.0 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer (the Setup class is syntax-checked on PHP 8.4)
  • The stock PAGE_CONTAINER template
  • The What's New and Members routes enabled (both are on by default)

Install it

1. Admin CP > Add-ons > Install from archive, choose df-xenforo-quick-links-1.0.0.zip, then Install.
2. Reload the board: the bar sits directly above the page body, under your header.
3. To change the labels or add a fourth link, edit the template modification under Appearance > Template modifications.
4. To remove it: Uninstall. Nothing is left behind.

Questions people ask

Do guests see the bar?

Yes. All three destinations are public pages, so the bar renders for guests and members alike. Are the links hard-coded? No. They are built with XenForo's own link() function, so they follow your board URL, your route filters and your language. Can I add a fourth link? Yes - copy one anchor line inside the replacement and point it at any route, for example {{ link('help') }}.
